Concerning Domestic Violence...
If you are in a relationship in which there is violence (or you fear that
there might be some in the future), you should get assistance with resolving this issues BEFORE
proceeding further through these pages. Attempting to make other relationship changes
without first getting the violence stopped can lead to more violent behavior with
sometimes fatal results.
If you are currently being battered or are currently battering your
partner, you need to take IMMEDIATE actions to see that the violence is stopped. If
you are in immediate danger, call 911 for immediate intervention. Otherwise, if
violence is not eminent but is a chronic problem in your relationship, BOTH OF YOU will
need to get professional assistance to change the dynamics that have developed in your
relationship.
